Default RE: Oversteer and throttle control?

It's what came with the car
That's the TGX, TGR, HPI Super Nitro RS4 and Kyosho Superten size

That's why I have such a hard time finding tyres
The Tamiya ones have no grip (from experience)
Kyosho are nowhere to be found
And I just bought the softest HPI ones (23R) and hoping that they have grip, but even these are $17 per pair + postage and insurance.

foxy is right if your not gonna use foam tires all of your question is useless. just buy 2 sets of foams and then tell us what's the problem on steering then we could help you. 26mm front and 30mm rear.

See the problem is due to the odd size of my wheels that I can't find foams for it

I mean certainly it can still handle ok with some soft slicks?

OK, then you need these for a racing setup... there's a few choices... http://search.ebay.com/search/search...per+nitro+foam

Yeah I've seen them here and there, thanks for the link though I wasn't about to find them for a while

But see,
http://cgi.ebay.com/HPI-Super-Nitro-...2em118Q2el1247

50USD + 15USD for shipping + insurance if available + 15% tax I have to pay here if it's not from the EU
So, something like 80USD+ for foams... I mean up to 40USD all up I'd be ok to pay but 80USD is just too much for tyres

Well, then I don't know what to tell you man. That's what you get for having a car that doesn't have a racing class. It'll always be a car park basher cos the manufacturers have no interest in producing racing parts for a car which will never be raced.

Trying to get it to handle like an NT1 or a Kyosho Evolva is a lost cause. Your money would be better spent putting the TGX on the shelf, as they are beautiful models, and getting an HPI RS4 to satisfy your craving for cornering speed.

I don't plan to race it, in fact all I want from it is to be a reliable fun parking lot basher
But of course even in a parking lot I want some sort of handling

It sucks there is no racing class for this
I think it's a really good size to be honest. And after this 1/10 seem so tiny, like toys.
Hopefully with the new tyres and revised suspension setup it'll be more satisfying.
In reality I realise that it wont handle like a race car especially not on rubber tyres, but at the same time I realise that with adjusting the suspension I can make it better.
It sits 17mm off the ground (bottom of chassis to ground) and I am thinking maybe lowering it 5mm will help a bit?

well aren't these cars 1/8 scale? you can find 8th scale tires every where! look at [link=http://www.jacoracing.net/nitroshoes_1_8.html]jaco[/link] racing tires. they have tires for kyosho.

It's not quite 1/8th scale
It's sort of a 1/9th
The 1/8th stuff is too big for it

too big i pretty sure you can find parts to make the 8th scale tires to work. (if your willing to spend a little money) i mean people stick 8th scale tires on 1/10 scale cars with no problems and they look sick too
