Default OFNA LD3 Whats your say Quick!

Hey guys there is a guy selling me a OFNA LD3, what is your say about this car? Is there a lot of hop ups for it? Are the parts easy to find? Also from the picture the guy sent me looks like its a single speed with the stock .12. Is this single speed transmission good? Or would i need to convert to two speed? (is there even a transmission kit for this car?)

Thanks for the opinions!

I dont know much about that car but i assure you that a 2speed gearbox is a "must have" for on road nitro cars. You dont need to push the engine at high revs continiously in order to move fast and you lack of center differential wich means permanent 50-50 torque between rear and front wheels which is good.

i say get it, you cant go wrong for 120 including radio gear. If anything goes wrong, you can always sell it as parts and get as much as you can back.

I owned the LD3 pro and it is quite the contender next to the NTC3. The car is quite durable and with a good setup it hauls. You won't have any worry of debris getting in belts, however most nitro onroad tracks are clean. The car really does roll very smoothly and sports a clean setup. Great for parking lot racing. If you can get parts that is a great deal.

My mistake it was the CD3 Pro. The upgraded version of the LD3 but both nice cars.

NOPE! The CD3 Pro is an upgraded version of the CD3 RTR. The LD3 is a totally seperate car of it's own....different layout and everything....basically the LD3 is a copy of the NTC3 and the CD3 is a center drive transmission.

Right. It has been so long I run the MTX4 and MRX4X anyway. CD3 pro will be my pic for parking lot bashing when dealing with debris of all sorts.

Bring one of them Mugen's out to a 132' drag strip and let's play. IMO even the CD3 Pro car wasn't a car to bash really. It had a pretty decent chassis and could run well here at 301 Raceway from what I saw. I am not an on-road racer by no means though but LOVE the drag strip though.
