Is it a two-speed? If so, is it shifting correctly?

Sometimes it's the drivetrain that makes it sound like it's bogging down.

I'm runnning into the same problem with my new Factory Team. I question if it is because I just installed a new piston/sleeve(Mugen/Novarossi MT-12)and I haven't finished breaking it in yet. I'm also having a bit of trouble tuning it because of the mid range screw, I'm not used to it...I just installed my back-up engine(OS 12TR) and I haven't had a chance to run it to see if that was the problem. The only other thought I've had is the gear ratio, it's a big jump between gears and it might bog some engines down(shouldn't with yours or mine, lot's of power). Have you broken your engine in yet?

Let me know how you make out, and I'll do the same,

Patrick

There should be no issue w/r/t the turbo head.

How rich are you running? Sometimes you aren't getting enough fuel if it's too lean. If it's too rich, it will gurgle at full throttle as well.

What are your engine temps? How much is it "bogging down"? Does it just hesitate, or does it actually slow the car down?

Have you checked for airleaks? Could be sucking some bubbles. Could be getting air around the carb if the o-rings are shot.

The point here is that it's real hard to pinpoint without actually hearing/seeing it run. Could be a number of things. Start with tuning, and go from there...

Yeah sounds lean, many things, like guys said, I'd replace fuel tubing, clean carby make sure no blokages, check head is screwed down tight not leaking air, but I,d say its your mid range either being to lean or rich. Once it is set DONT touch it, just your top end needle. So do all thorse checks and retune the mid range and you will be sweet. Cuz the nova is a great engine, fast and very reliable when properly tuned.
Keep rockin

RCWORLD2000COM:

Do you have the factory sttings for your carb? I think it's the same carb as mine, but I've lost all my settings...If you get a chance can you hook me up? It should be something like 3 turns out for HS and flush with carb for LS, but the mid is throwing me off.

Thanks a lot,
Patrick

I think I found the problem, I've been using the base screw as my mid range and vice-versa...

Now it's off to the races, thanks guys,

Patrick
