Pullstarter

My pullstater is broken. When I started the engine, the pull cord shot out of the starter. Then the engine immediatly stopped. I took the starter apart and tried to fix it. It seems that the metal spring unhooked. Is there an easy was to put wrap the spring around and put the starter back together?
