PSI- That's why 8th onroads are called the F1 of RC - they sound like the real thing! :D It's just the exhaust system and high revving of the .21 that makes the noise really.

Here is a video clip

You know its not the best place to record, but thats for now. Its in front of my house running on regular neighborhood asphalt. The engine as you know its the O.S. 21 RG, great for bashing, very consistent on temperatures.

If you notice there is a big manhole and a small steel plate right beside it, about 2 or 3 divisional reflectors and almost at the end two big square patches froma rescent water pipe construction. I have to be very critical on not touching those areas or the XR8 goes berzerk.

In case it does not work from photobucket, here is the same video on YouTube.

And here is part II from the other side of the street... Its taken with a digital camera on Video mode.

I bought an XR-80 RTR about 2 years ago. The first thing I did was build a fiberglass Mach 5 body for it. The car is FAST and bullet proof. I upgraded the radio and that was it. This kit is the best RTR for the buck in RC. Between the noise, the SPEED and the Mach 5 body I sometimes spend more time talking about the car with interested onlookers than actually driving it. Can't go wrong with a Power Racing product.

Ok, this time I took a clip of much longer time.

I have to stop wasting money on engines and cars and buy myself a good video camera.

RE: My first XR8 Kit

Yeah I know I need to make one with more high speed tight turns and wide sweeps at full throttle, plus take more video clips with a real camera.

I will try to take it to a clean parking lot. I am no video freak and need to practice on video editing.

That is the regular bashing engine (O.S. .21 RG(P). The engine runs strong all the time, of course if it goes back to back many tanks it tends to lower its performance just a tiny bit. I am just finishing its first gallon of 20% Traxxas fuel. Just today I did a centax clutch cleaning and some minor shim adjustments.

Also today I changed to rear Serpent 4 way adjustable shocks with orange springs. Cleaned up the 2-speed transmission, some minor tweaking on the front sway bar and suspension end points.

Thank you for the reply, I concur on your video feedback and will work on it.

I am at the assembly line at the moment. Somewhat difficult to install the wheel retainers with the compressed spring.

Lets see how it goes. I have several single and dual chamber pipes and I am not sure if go with the LRP .28 or the O.S. .21RG.

The hobby shop gave a good deal for the kit; $355.00.

mine broken and lost..I ordered serpent 977 988 and all of them fit but the front didn't fit what size is it or can you give me the number on the belt need help
