ok, well i smoked my AE15 in my factory team NTC3, and i have found a motor i want but it has a standard crankshaft, now the AE15 that comes stock on the NTC3 is a SG crankshaft am i correct? Can i use a standard cranked motor if i cut the shaft down a bit? Or is it a diff setup still? Thanks

From what i can work out if you use a SG type crank u need a 2313 SG Clutch Nut
And if you use a Standard Short Crank u use a 2312 Clutch Nut...
Hope That Helps:)

RE: NTC3 engine help?????

correction: im pretty sure the sg and normmal shafts are a bit long, so the one thats all threaded just need the NTC3 Clutch nut. You might want to swap the cranks, if that makes it easier, otherwise, you might have to dremel some away to get it to fit,.

RE: NTC3 engine help?????

stock is SG, where it has the shaft built into the crank

Standard has the whole shaft threaded, ive got the NTC3 pilot shaft, so was thinkin all i would have to do is mount the collet, flywheel, then add the cut off nut that comes with the motor, cut it of at the end of that, take the cut off nut off and then mount the pilot shaft, im pretty sure thats how it works[&:]

Its an RB motor so i dont want to fudge it up[>:]
