RE: Engine

If your car uses a small block then there usually is a way to make it work. You may need other items depending on what you currently have in the car and how your set up. Whats in the car now? You can do a lot better than that engine as well. If that price is in lbs. then its about 170 USD. You can get an OS engine from Tower(they ship international) for about 60-70 lbs plus shipping. Even with shipping I'm sure it will be less than or the same as the 85lb your looking at spending for this engine. HPI engines are ok but there are definately faster ones out there for that price.

RE: Engine

dont get an hpi engine if your going to buy an engine buy it from a company that specilies on engines. you will get alot more quality.

os is pretty good. at lest for bashing its more then enogh power. they are easy to tune and last a long time. they have a good reputation.

RE: Engine

O.S. is one of the largest makers of nitro engines. You should be able to get one almost any hobby store online or in any good shops. Towerhobbies, Amain juat to name a couple.

For me to upgrade my engine will i need to change my 2 speed transmission or will the new engine be ok, will i have to buy a 2 speed to match the new engine

RE: Engine

umm not you dont have to change the transmition. ussualy all small blocks are direct dropin. you just need to see what kind of crank shaft you need and side or rear exhaust.

how does a slide card work? well insted of being turn like a rotary, it slides out.
i dunno how your car is. so i can't tell you how to swith it over to slide some times all you have to do is swith the position of the throllel arm on the servo. it depends on the car

or you can get an engine with a rotary carb. that will be easyer.

RE: Engine

For the slide carb you'll probably need a linkage kit. They are cheap and shouldn't be an issue. Depending on your current engine you may need new clutch parts but the rest of the transmission should be fine.
