New .21 dual plug head getting ready for more testing...

I had a proto-type head already using dual plugs and I must say that "IT WORKS" great. Definately lets me fatten the car up so that the extra plug can burn more fuel as well and make more power. So far the ticket has been to run a Novarossi C5 plug on the carb side and a C6 on the exhaust side. In a 132' track runs, it has been phenominal........more testing with some friends cars this weekend as well.

What brand motor are these heads for?? Looks promising. I might be getting a 1/5 scale on road to play with Brent!!:D Need something big so I can see it better!!:D

That's pretty sick. Did you manufacture those pieces? And what kind of difference does it make in the performance? Any quantitative findings?

The dual plug heads fit ALL Novarossi .21 engines and I won't say about the performance gain BUT for competition to get beside one of my drag cars or street cars:D.

Nitrohead, man I have also been tuning, tuning and tuning on my CD3 chassis and now can make the stock style Jaco 1/10th scale foam tires hook and work with all the .21 power being thrown at them[X(]. I gotta get some more vids of the cars to show you how well those regular tires now wrok but it is ALL in the chassis set up, springs and shock oils that did it.

Brent did you use softer springs and shock oil to accomplish this?? Did you have to increase camber and toe?? Or did you change the mounting angle of the shocks??

I have just finished converting my R-40 with the .21 to a 220mm onroad monster with a home made homeboy floating rear end.

Nice piece of work there. If you want, you can send me one and I'll help you with the testing :D.

Brent are these heads just for drag racing only or can you used them for onroad racing too without any negative results??

The heads are for drag racing only BUT they can be available for on-road stuff too but I don't think it isn't necessary for on-road. Heck I even have one for my 3.3 Traxxas engines too.;)

Very nice heads, and great concept. Aside from fitting into Rossi's and TRX, they should also be made for OS Vspecs, the various SH and resold SH engines (LRP, Mach, Sortswerks, etc), and probably even Kingstars (Axial and HPI Nitrostar engines).

Thanks Jim but it takes time man to make these up. It is all still in the developing stages and for those that have them for testing, we have to give the blessing to go into full on boogy production which would include making them for OS and the rest of the engine world.

nitrohead, no price just yet but I am guessing about $50 or less..........that's just a GUESS

Do you have anyone testing them in 1/8 onroad applications to see if there are any benefits (more complete burn, mileage)?

Brent, couple of questions.

How do you go about igniting the 2 plugs? Do you light one and the other comes on automatically or do both have to be ignited together or seperately?

And will you be making any for the RB928? Very interested if so. PM me with any info on that. I'd love to try it on my twin engine GTP.

Sorry man but I have been extremely busy tuning my .21 Kangaroo in with the new button and so far....EXCELLENT results and I plan to attend a drag race event this weekend and use the new head button during that time.

Got_to_100, you light one plug and get the engine running and then just touch the other plug and you will hear the engine tone go up with the other plug ignited.

If you can take the button off and measure the diameter of the RB928 head shoulder, I will see if we can make some of those up too. All I can say is that the dual plugs do work.

Let me know.

Hey Brent do know if RB works on gas 2 cycle motors too?? Been working on my lastest project too had a problem with an allen screw it was stripped , so I could not remove my diff had to take it to a machinist to get it out!! The directions on this MCD kit are kind of poor they assume you know what to do. Here is a picture of the mean Mutha with the engine and pipe mounted http://i711.photobucket.com/albums/w...ones/003-1.jpg
