Default Have a Redcat everest that went up in smoke/Help

Bought my 2 7yr old twin grandsons a everest each. After only 1 run one went up in smoke when it was turned on. Has anyone had this issue? Bought them both on ebay so no help from the vendor. What do you think our options will be ?

Help appreciated.

Where did the smoke come from? if it does not move forward and backward but the steering still works the ESC fried on you.

Redcats typically fry servos almost instantly. E-Z to replace, about $20 will buy decent metal gear units.
You probably don't need a high dollar servo.I would replace both no matter what.
