Nice build, and it appears to handle flat ground very well, not so much over rough terrain, as the first link shows. Does it have leafs or are you running 8 shocks?

If leafs, you might consider running 1 leaf per wheel, if shocks, softer springs or thinner oil. Doesn't appear to have much flex, to keep tires on the ground.

Hello Mike

It uses the stock springs and shocks. The shocks do need some breaking in as they were pre-assembled and a bit sticky maybe from the O-ring fit tolerances. The oil is a fine oil already and wicks over everything when opened.

Since it is an accurate representation of the real KAT, don't expect it to perform on the level of most rock crawlers.

Otherwise I would widen the footprint for sure, as its long body can tend to roll if not approaching obstacles correctly.

Looks good to me. the full sizes weren't the best at side hilling. too long for that.the longer you run it the better at judging the approach angle.
i like the sniper rifle on the cab.

Long Tom is a world peacekeepers toys 18th scale.

Looks a bit smallish to the 12 scale MAN KAT1 but saves lots of scratch building!
