Default DIY Foamy rock crawler track

Just sharing my recent crawler track build using thrown away foamy boxed used to package my R/C jet plane kit. Instead throwing it away i recycled it back by converting it into 1:35 scale crawler track for Orlandoo 4x4 models (https://www.supermotoxl.com/designs-...-micro-crawler) which recently a popular micro crawler platform. Build as portable track yet big enough to enjoy hours of crawling enjoyment complete with caverns, steep climbing steps, switchbacks, steep drops and other tyre gripping challenges. Below are step by step snapshots of progression how i build the track and is currently 80% WIP as we speak. Foamy are painted using acylic paint and added some recycled household bits such as sponges, mosquito netting, tooth picks and etc. The track theme is wasteland rubbles. Will post further more updates soon as i need to do some airbrushing on vegetation ornaments, LED lightings and other scale stuff.

Thanks for your compliments Mike btw some latest updated on the track...

Latest track updates: LEDs lighting added
I've added strips of leds on the ceiling inside the caves and also around the rocky arch structure to make the track more enjoyable to drive and view around at night/in the dark for rock crawling activity indoor. Today i invited a friend to test around my new track, he's on hummer while i'm on my Jeep as usual. Had lots of fun climbing over lots of artificial rubbles and rocks. Glad i build this track, had super awesome time with it, i need to buy more Orlandoos soon!

Man, this is just awesome! Great job! Always curious on how these companies do their scales. These trucks look bigger than the redcat 1/24 sumo. If you're ever interested, Banggood has a sound system geared towards the Orlandoo.

"Rubble Wasteland" 4x4 track
Ok here it is. Check out video of my homemade track in action with my 1:35 scale Orlandoo Jeep roaming around the extreme axle twisting obstacles, extreme climbing and vertical drops. Enjoy the adventures!

That's pretty cool. What did you use for the shrubs/green areas?

Thanks, for the shrubs i used green colored dish washing sponges and then soaked partially in dark colored acrylic paint to add shadowy shrubby looks.

Orlandoo Jeep vs F150
Some fun rock crawling convoy activity with Orlandoo Jeep and F150 truck on 'rubble wasteland' track. F150 a bit struggle with this track due to longer wheelbase but we'd take it slowly and more time over the obstacles.

I can relate. I have a 10.5 inch wb truck that doesn't hang up on obstacles like my 13.2 inch wb wroncho or 14.75 inch wb 1/6 Jeep. The Jeep not so much as it has more flex, but you have to choose the right line.

I think i need to do some extra mods to make it work to improve those axles and wheels to get more under carriage clearance and steering angle so obstacles wouldn't be a problem later.

I've never owned a mini crawler, are there larger diameter tire options available? That would help with clearance issues.

Very limited option for larger diameter tyre, can sourced from some toy micro trucks.

Very nice, need to visit your local hobby train store and get some trees for that rock pile, it'll add some obstructions to your smooth run
