So I have been doing some work on my TFL bronco build , first problem with using a gas engine in a crawler is the transmission does not have reverse . . my solution is mating a axial 2 speed aluminum transfer case with a reverse module from a HPI savage . I needed to make a new input shaft and adaptor plate and a output shaft bearing support ,also needed to make a hub adapter for the spur gear . .. seems to be coming along

Next was to make some mounting plates to mount the transmission and engine together , I designed it so the engine and transfer case can be removed together . the front shock towers and too narrow so I will be removing them and moving them forward to help clear the started and exhaust

I now have the engine mounting plane fitted , works real slick as you can setup the engine and transmission before installing , I also have the shock towers relocated ,it's a tight fit but the hood will close LOL , I also have an exhaust roughed in

the next thing thing on the list to overcome is having no brakes with a gas engine . I opted for a set of CAPO disc brakes these thing are so cool , I don't know if I will use them on all 4 wheel or just on the front , sure will be nice to to have all that lash in the drive train gone , breaking the car at the wheel should help me avoid that terrible rocking you get with motor braking ..I will need some longer wheel hexes to come through the rotor and drive the wheel but that's no problem , really starting to come together ..

Yep thats the terminator at the wheel LOL. I did quite a few mods on the body /Box floor was added /reworked the rear fenders and custom made tail lights / also made a custom aluminum tail gate / cut out the hood and fabricated some hinges / made a bunch of bungee cords with elastic cord and a small springs cut to make the ends / full light a sound kit / winch with a servo board for the driver / brushless outrunner motor / 2 speed transfer case was added so it can crawl super slow and still have the wheel speed if needed ..
