Thought I would post some pictures of my latest project . .I searched and searched for a CJ5 jeep body for my crawler but cant find anything suitable, . Well why not start from scratch ,so far I have the plugs for the front fenders / hood / grill /and the L&R panel sides . I still need to make the rear panel with tail gate and the window frame and lastly the floor and firewall . still not decided if I should do a fiberglass body or vacuum form one . ,leaning toward glass . I will be making the body as a mult piece that is bolted together so it can be serviced and repaired if damaged , it will also look far more real with all the proper panel lines .

Looks just like an Early CJ5, before Kaiser-Willys was bought out by AMC and they lengthened the front of the Jeep to handle the large V8 motors.

actually finished the build but forgot to update the thread , I will try to add a few pictures of the progress through the build

A few more pictures I did the common Jeep CJ up grades like spring over axle / shocks/winch . hood latch, mirrors ,hinges , soft top frame ,door handles are all functional and function as the full sized . used the fuel tank to house radio gear and servo.
