Default Noisy Gen8

Ive got a Redcat Scout Gen8 that I've been complaining about the noise for since i got it, i have a friends with Vaterra and Traxxas rock crawlers that are much quieter. I just installed the CNC steel gear kit and steel spur gear from Redcat and the drive train is even louder now. Even after readjusting the motor mounting plate and the pinion gear. Is it possible to get a quieter drive train or is it just the way it is? Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

I have a Gen7 Pro and that thing is quite a bit louder than my TRX-4 Defender.
I would say that any time you add metal to the gears assemblies will increase your sound. The quietest will be the nylon components.
Is it possible that the motor is causing much of the noise?
