Mad Monk Mort

I'm setting up aftermarket axles for my Redcat Gen8. I'm salvaging the gears, pinions and axles out of the stock axles, but I feel like they should get a fresh dose of lube when they get reinstalled. Should this be a paste or cream type lube, or some heavy liquid? If it's a liquid, what weight should it be?
Any suggestions?
