Default rear wheel steer?

i've been looking at alot of the pics posted on this site and they are all real cool but none of them look like the rear steering is in use i was wondering why people dont use it or if is a problem to use it?

might be cuz of less weight and it really isnt needed when crawling....it actually seems to give a better turning radius but it wouldnt be needed in crawling

Both of my crawlers use rear steer.

I've got my radio setup (a JR R-1) so I can also control how much rear steer I want. From maximum-throw, to medium, to none, and then to reverse so I can crab-walk.

Honda, don't know what kind of terrain you're crawling on, but having that rear steering helps out around here.

Shorty, if you want detail pics, just LMK.

NP, and there are some instances where rear steer doesn't work.

Eg: I've got a JPS clod ("SpeedyClod") running Amber Speed Gem 19 turn motorss on 14.4 volts (EVX). Initially I had it set up with 4 wheel steering, but its so d^#n fast that its completely unstable wiith any rear steering. Its a blast to watch, but clods weren't made to go that fast... So, sometimes rear steer isn't appropriate. But for pure crawling works great.

my clod crawler has rear steering and I would not have it any other way it works to well not to have it plus if you dont need it just unhook it its only the extra weight of a servo in which you need the wheel weight anyway.

Rear steer it not legal for 2.2 competition crawlers.

It is used regularly in the Super division.

My new crawler is a 2.2. It is fun to drive, but it does not turn very well. I guess because the long wheelbase. Is this the same for others to? IT is the sw2 chassis. Maybe i need a better servo?

you might look for areas that you can shave a little material off of something to give it a little more turning room or does it turn more one way than the other you might have the steering set a little off

I remember reading somewere a guy shaved some material off of the knuckles i think. I will have to search around for it. Not only that, my servo sucks, i need a 645mg. Thanks for the response.
