do I have anything to be nervous about?
I REALLY want to lock the diffs in my e-maxx, but I'm nervous to tear it down and do all that stuff. I dont want to eff it up, seeing as I just got it. But I really would like it better with the diffs locked. Should I worry about screwing anything up? Or...does anyone want to post a pic by pic tuturial?

i would only lock the rear if you still drive it on anything but slow terain, i spooled the rear of my tmaxx and it was fine, ran it on the road and grass and everthing, it was reall fun to remove the front drive shafts and drive it in the dirt talk about drifting, yee haw so lock the rear and front if you dont wnt to go fast

Its still going to be an all around truck, I just hate the way the diffs work. I never get traction when I need it! But....I think I'm going to need to buy a new ESC before I do anything else.[:@] I'm a retard! Pretty sure I fried it already.[][&o]

differencials make a truck handle a ton better on regular terrain. the only time it helps having them locked is when your all out crawling.

How on earth did you fry your evx already?
As for lockng the diffs, remember then you're preventing the wheels from moving at different speeds, so like has been said, it wll ruin handling at anything like speed. Do you really want a crawler or do you want to retain the speed factor? I thought about this myself but I decided it would be better to leave mine as it was and if I really wanted a crawler I'd just build one from scratch, and it prolly wouldn't be an e-maxx. Can't afford that though [8D]
