How do you lock X-Factor diffs?

Locking the diff means that you have to stop the small planetary gears from turning. As an alternative (non-permanent) diff-lock, try packing the diff housing with silly putty.

XF diffs are very easy to lock cuz there a closed diff
just open it up and clean all the gears.....put them back in ...then just pack it with jb weld
or just flip two of the gears over...it will lock that way also....thats how i have mine

i used silly putty so that if something bad happens there will still be a little bit of give. i can take both wheels and force the diff to work but it takes a good bit of force.
