Default My idea for a chassis...

Most of my parts to build my clod based crawler/basher/mt/whatever you want to call it will be coming in this week or early next, so I figured I'd start working on a chassis design.

So far this is what Ive came up with, I think it looks allright and I'll probobly make mine quite simular to it, the only problem is I have no idea of how large it needs to be. Ive got it printed out on paper and its about 6" wide (top part)/2.5"s wide (bottom part), and about 3"s tall.

On paper it looks like it should be big enough, after all I only need to fit a battery pack, ESC, and receiver on it.

Also, what would be a good starting point for the spacing between the two chassis sides? Im thinking 4"s should be far enough apart, but ive never seen one of these kind of cars in person so I ahve no idea as to what the dimensions should be.

BTW, the chassis is going to be made from 1/8" thick G10 (black fiberglass), and the two sides will be mounted together with either 1/4" aluminum rod or carbon tubing, the links will be made from either 1/4" aluminum rod or CF tubing as well. I ordered the CF tubing, and already have the aluminum rod, Im just waiting on the tubing to arrive so I can decide which I'm going to use.
