RE: ORCRC's Nylint 1/18 ($40 WalMart) Stock Crawler Comp
Hello today I bought a jeep one and on the second battery run the rear axle low gear started slipping. I opened it up and what connects the last planitery gear to the gear that ingages the axle is slipping. I think that is it because I bent the thing a little to help it and it did help alittle but it still slips.... Is anyone else experinceing this? if so what did you do to fix it? thanks a lot... woody

RE: ORCRC's Nylint 1/18 ($40 WalMart) Stock Crawler Comp
well now since I opened up the transmission and put it back together it is really hard to turn and the motor can barely turn it... the rear wheels shut off way before the fronts when letting off the throttle. Am I the only one expirinceing all this trouble or has some one else had all this trouble too? Any help is much needed thanks

Thats why I'd return it.. Your chances of that happening again are probably slim.. not to mention that sounds like a defect from the manufacturer (covered under warranty) so unless you want to send it back to them and wait weeks, I would return it.

Are you guys having trouble with the 1/18 or the 1/6 cause I have not had one problem with the 1/6 and I have been beating the crap out of it for sure...

Tell you what if you think the 1/18 does a good job the 1/16 is far better and now I know it is bigger and ect. but it is lower geared and it weights like 30 pounds and the steering is alot stronger ect. very nice rig..

Seriously, if you have the money I would upgrade to the 1/6th scale just for the digital proportional throttle.. which means instead of the throttle just being on or off like it is on the 1/18th, you can actually give it a little throttle or a lot of throttle or in between, which is much better for rock crawling..

Same here my second one has been great. I found some rocks for it to crawl on that are "its size" and if it was going to break like my first one it would have. So I must have just got a junk one the first time. I will soon do some painting and customizeing to make it more realist looking. So that will be fun

Well i have a status report on my truck. The third time i run it the front axle quit pulling so i took it back to wal-mart and got another one. I got home with it and right out of the box the rear axle wouldnt pull. This is got to be the biggest piece of crap in the world.

Can someone please tell me if the 1:18 Nylint either model is available near them, and where that would be? I can't find them anywhere I've looked. thanks.

Yea.. You can't expect something from a department store -- especially walmart -- to hold up forever and be reliable!!! Not to mention product support? The trucks are probably made in ethiopia like everything else from walmart..
