Not sure if you've heard of them but........ "They're Here" Nylint 1/18th Scale Crawlers. Right around $40 Gets you one RTR at Walmart, and thats just what some of us at ORCRC did. So at this Months Crawling Competiton we added a Nylint 1/18 "Stock" Class. These little trucks are not Proportional but do have some great Crawling Manners and are a lot of fun. Eight people gave for some great Competition on the 5 Gate Course and a Great Video. Did I mention how tough they are? I saw one fall off a 13' Solid Rock Cliff into Solid Rocks and it suffered no Damage[:-]

I'm not to sure about the 1/6 scale Trucks. I haven't even seen one yet and at $150 they seem like pretty Expensive Toys until I see some readily available Replacment Parts?
Let us know what you end up with.......

So far i've had about four of these. i ran them stock for the first four and just got the fifth tonight and am customizing it a bit to make it more durable and dependable. I am putting stock savage shocks on it and am about to open the axles to put some metal gears in. The downfall of the whole truck is the plastic gears and it's belt driven in each axle. It's more like rubberbands and they stretch out. The radio is kind of cool though as it's four different channels and you can switch them. The steering and throttle is not full on or off but it's nothing like rc hobby servo's and such. I have a hitech 645 i plan to put in for steering and as soon as i can get to the hobby shop a plan on a better battery pack. Um, any questions please ask me and i'll let you know what i can.

yes, dead belt = new car. It's my opinion that if you spend $150 for a truck it should last more than a few days. It's not like i was beating it to death.

You need to Start your own "Boo Hoo 1/6th scale, OMG The Belts! The Belts!" Thread and stay away from this one.....................

Yeah, Nice pics "ArmedlikeTexas"! I like the Flat Black
I haven't laid any Paint on my Scorp yet, but I did find the time to Cut up and fill the front Tires with some Lead Shot for weight. Oh and I Flipped the Rear Links which gave me Some Needed Clearance on the rear axle. Quess I'll have to get some pics.
