need advise on first crawler
hey guys, i race 1/8 buggies and saw a guy messing around with a rockcrawler and would like to get one. but where do i start, what would be a good starting car ? and what mods should i do ?

Hey.. I would suggest buying a Tamiya Clodbuster and take the axles from the kit... they are the only useful thing... basically... these are probably the most popular type of rock crawler and you can do unlimited chassis designs with these axles... A CLOD kit costs about $150 or so... this is different from racing... lol... I race 8th buggy as well... but have tons of fun making chassis' for my clod also...

Buy yourseld some clod axles, some links, some good torquey motors, buy or build your own chassis, get a rooster or evx, some high torque servo's soft tires and your good to go
