Check out rc4wd.com, they have alot of good stuff, you can buy chassis's and pretty much anything you would need to build your crawler, I would recommend clod buster axles, integy lathe motors, a super rooster or evx, check out this site

FYI many people including myself have had trouble getting products from and communicating with RC4WD in a timely manner.
How big a truck do you want? For 1/8 - 1/10 most people use Clod axles, (with a different chassis), or TXT's. For 1/18 or scale (more realistic-looking) 1/10 many use TLT axles and a Stampede tranny.

i would like 1/8 but will settle for 1/10. i do like the clod axle setup. this is what i'm brainstorming so far:
-clod axles
-dual steering(front and back)
-tube chassis
-4link suspension
-savage shocks
-ultra torque servos(hitec or jr)
still have to do my homework if you have pic of clod axle setup can you please share, i want to see how the steering is setup.
thanks.

Did they rip you off? or did it just take a long time to receive your order from them?

They don't keep a good inventory so I've had to cancel a couple orders after finding out the parts weren't in stock. Others have had long shipping delays and little to no communication. There's some threads on RCCrawler about them. InetRC and ThunderTechRacing have some good Clod stuff.
DurTmaxx if you're making a custom Clod you can make it whatever size you want, tho ~16" WB is 'competition' length. I've seen savage shocks on some rigs but ~4" shocks are more widely used. Are you going for a scale rig (realistic looking / performing) or for straight performance?

I have a custom crawler i might be selling. locked clod axles, 55t lathe motors with 9 tooth pinions, super rooster, associated shocks, 40 series rims w/moabs, 17" wheel base, hitech 645mg servos, traxxas radio with propotional 3rd channel for rear steer. if interested let me know i can Email you some pics. possable trade. getting out of crawling and back into off road. i spent about 700.00 on this works very well. also try utrcrc.com for ideas.

because the motors are built for turning a lathe which is sold separatly thats why it says that a lathe is required. but its not for the motor to run. just to run the lathe
