they fit the 40 size rims or the 17mm xtm rims for the mammoth st

I don't think they will.

The 40 series are 4 inch wheels if I remember right.

Craaaap. I was hoping to get by with the wheels I already have, but I guess they'll go on the chopping block in favor of something else.

The good news is that you can get 40 MAXX wheels from Pro Line cheap!
