Default Building a Crawler.

I have a Pede Tranny and a 55turn motor. What chassis,axles and links can I buy to go along with the pede tranny? Im on a budget, say $200-250 max. So I need to know:

-What axles
-What chassis
-What links (will they come with the chassis?)
-Anything else
-Servos

Things I have

-Pede tranny
-Motor
-Body
-Old Savage tires

Thanks for the help guys. Oh, and is thecrawlerstore.com a good place for parts?

axles=tlt-1
chassis=sw2,jt-22,bmvii, list can go on. But the bmvii is a torsion design, needs no shocks or links, a really creative idea, and will sace you money!
You will need pede shafts or maxx shafts.
Servo=hs-645mg or jr-650mg, something similar.
I also recomend going to rccrawler.com and reading a bunch there. You will learn tons there!!

Alright I picked up a brand new Wk with a 4wd conversion and some other goodies for a damn good price. All I need now is links and to fab up the chassis. Pics real soon dudes.

Thanks!

What would you recomend for gearing as in pinion/spur? I will be using 2.2 wheels and tires.

on my sw2 crawler and pede tranny i use a 13/84 gearing. But i have a 65t motor
But anywere inbetween there. I was running 13/87 but need a little more speed, I still think i am goint to swithc to a 55 or maybe even a 45t just for the heck of it.

What tires you plan on running?

Hmm, well my savage tires I just realised are dead so I gutted em out for the rims. What would you recomend for a cheap, tire/rim set? I really like the looks of the Imex 2.2 All-Terrains.

for a cheap 2.2 set i would suggest traxxas rims, like 4 dollars a pair.
And pretty much the all-t's, moabs, m2k's cost about the same,
savage tires and rims are bigger, some people use them but they are hard on the axles.
the tlt and wk use 12mm hexes. But the all-t's should fit the wk pretty good.

the crawler store is cool....links you can make yourself if you want. Ksmetals.com, 1/4 in. by .49 wall tube with 4m hex head bolts for the rod ends. Hope that helps.
