Default The old rusty Power Wagon

This project started as a dump the parts box out and see what I can build....
Well, it started out life with a SW2 chassis, TLT axles and a PTO driven winch, but someone challenged me to build a better scale chassis.
So I did...
Now it has a custom "rusted" chassis, custom PTO driven winch with a unique free spool feature, TLT axles, cut-n-shut Rock Lizards on HPI wheels, turned TLT shocks, leaf springs on all corners, stressed primer body with Bondo patches for that "beater" look, custom front bumper.
Just a few more touches to finish this one up.
It was a fun build and I am happy with the way it turned out... So I have another project on the bench already, that will hopefully be a step up from this....

Thanks...

A WC 53 CARRYALL is what I really want to shoot for after I finish the build I just started (Unfortunately not a PW). I guess I need to learn some styrene techniques if I want to do this...

The second pic is just one of those "I wish I had just one of those, they couldn't possibly miss one " pics.. Had to be quite a few hundred in that pic!!!

The last pic I just sketched up to get myself started thinking about how to accomplish this...

Wow, that is a great looking build [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

I love that PTO, what a cool idea! The whole truck is so realistic, and that's some very nice work.

The winch works fine, right now it is spring tensioned but I am kicking around the idea of mounting another servo so I can hit the button to free spool and then to drive the spool. I am using a Maxx bulkhead and A-arm for the pivot. It sure is one of a kind and all the parts were extras.

Nice truck. I think I'd add a 5 gallon gas tank somewhere and perhaps a south will rise again bumper sticker.
