that brushless motor is for a super class crawler, not 2.2...search online for the Matrix Lathe motor 55t-45 t, and the Moped v16 esc, good cheap set-up

If your getting the ARTR AX10 then this a good combo....... [link]http://www.teamnovak.com/products/esc/1841rooster_crawler/index.html[/link]

If you want to save some cash then get the Axial stock motor and ESC [link]http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXULR4&P=7[/link] & [link]http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVNM8&P=M[/link]

Both will work.

Decided to get the novak combo but can you use a lipo battery from a helicopter like [link=http://www.xheli.com/10b11-111v15c1000mah-lithium-polymer-battery-for-rc-helicopter-and-airplane.html]this one[/link] with it.

No I dont think your novak speed controller will handle 3s 11.1v lipo, there are some that do it anyway with some success. But novak rates up to 2s 7.4v only!

Now your Castle Creations Sidewinder($76) or Mamba Max($135) can handle 3s 11.1v Lipos no problem

Nope... That battery is designed for use in radios and receivers and has a JST-style plug. The Novak ESC comes with a Tamiya-style plug I think? Or it comes with no plugs at all. Most people swap the Tamiya plug for a Deans plug and many lipos don't come with any plug at all; you have to solder on an appropriate plug.

Dont forget LiPo's weigh 1/3 of what sub c's do so really the last battery pack you showed us is better for weight(crawlers need it).Mount it over the front axel to keep the weight up front and BINGO!

Ok all, I have a RTR ax10, and have been using 6cell stick packs. My venom 3600 just crapped out and I have a 2/3A 7cell pack from an airplane, is this OK to use. it gave my 55T more wheelspeed and seems to have more torque too. how do these brushed motors fare on 11.1V? I am looking into getting the Tekin ESC as it is good for 3cell lipos. also considered getting a vxl setup for my PedeRacer. then I can run BL to play, 11.1V on a 27T for stock class races, and use 11.1V lipos on my AX. any suggestions?
