AX10 Head and Tail Lights with protective housing
Well I just got done adding LED lights to my AX10 and was wondering how long until a rock smashed the LED and then good bye lights! So I made a protective cage/housing for them out of heavy duty paper clips then soldered them in the middle where they cross each other and pushed them through the body where I epoxied them. They feel really solid and look good if I do say so myself. The first 4 pictures are before I made the cages.

Looks super cool with those light installed and turned on....I don't know if those clips are going to do anything if you nose dive or slide back into a rock. After you put it through the paces and smack her around a bit, you will know for sure!!!
Are those the 5v LEDs from Fry's or?? How are you running them? I set my helicopter up with the 5V LED's running off of a 5.2V BEC and they get really fricken hot!!! They are 100mah a piece though! Could do some melting of plastic if they are the same ones I used...

Looks like your tail lights are shining in funny directions
Is it possible to smash an LED? They seem to be solid plastic.
I've pulled the wire from one when my tire rubbed against the backside of a light though. Not worth it to try and fix
