Default Meet the 2MPH race team

Here is my crawling team all ready for some upcoming competitions. The Losi MRC and AX-10. Here is the pair of them:

The AX-10 has:

Losi crawler body and tires, 1/8 Giga Crusher shocks w/Maxx springs, high clearance end links, 2/3A saddle pack, Hitec MG-645 servo, Hot Racing dig w/Futaba servo, 14t pinion, Integy crawler motor, Novak Rooster Crawler, weighted wheels (6oz front/4 oz back) and quite a few more goodies.

The Losi MRC has:

Custom chassis, ESC on back plate, Futaba MG up front, aluminum crawler shocks, 2/3 pack mounted on front axle/upper plate, weighted wheels, true beadlock losi wheels w/2" PVC and Losi tires, 13T pinion. It needs high clearance links, I really need to order those.

Oh, sure. I pulled the upper radio plate, cut the shock upper mount sections off and bolted them to HPI Savage cross members. This allowed me to move the receiver down and get the ESC down on the back axle. As an added bonus, I can adjust the truck's height by rotating the crossmembers.

Axial body is already pretty beat up today. There is this hill climb that I just couldn't keep the front end down on and it rolled a few times.

Awe nice touch with the batteries on the axles. I think I'll do that with mine. I just don't see a good way to mount a battery on the lower chassis plate without it being in the way. Gonna mean running a few extra wires but the lower CoG will be worth it.

Nice lookin rigs.

Are the 2/3 A cells giving good run time?

I was planning on Seven sub-C cells for my Killer Krawler, maybe I should plan on 2/3A's instead ???

I am planning because I have ordered a crawler, but haven't recieved all needed parts quite yet....

The 2/3A cells give me a good 15-20 minutes of crawl time with the Axial and 30 minutes with the Losi MRC. Those high turn motors last quite a while. The cells get warm to the touch with the Axial after a full run. When I run one pack through the Axial, and then run one pack through the MRC, plus setup times it takes me one to one and a half hours which is right for a crawling session for me.

I have only run 55T motors- the integy 55T and the Novak Fifty-Five. Honestly, 6 cells gets the Axial competitive. I am competitive with all of the other machines I run with and I can even do some things others can't. If I felt that I needed 8.4V, I would definitely do it, I just don't feel like I do.

Integy 55T-
