Default cliff climber RTR discontinued

Why is this discontinued already? I want the RTR version because the electronics are so expensive seperately.

I specificly wanted the Cliff Climber because of price. How much is the redcat and do you have a link? Anyone recommending anything should always put if a link if they have one to help the other people looking....

Thanks

Do they normally come as a RTR? How do they differ from the Venom Rock Crawler?

I like the duratrax because it was an RTR for cheap. I am just bashing around not doing any serious COMP anything.

Thanks

The Redcat RS10 has always came as a RTR and they work great right out of the box. I have a Creeper as well and the only bad thing is it doesnt come with any electronics, you have to buy it all. By the time you do buy the electronics for the Creeper it would still be considerably cheeper to buy the RS10.

Do you have any links to the RS10 sold other than EBay?

Thanks

Maybe I should just get one of these and get a scale crawler.

Thats not a bad deal, but if it were me I hold off alittle bit for the redcat. You might try calling Redcat direct and see when they expect them back in stock.

If you want to do some crawling on a budget, you cant beat the RS10. With a little modding here and there it is very capable.

I have both...theC.C. & the RS10....The c.c. isn't worth the price...it is called a rtr, but you have to purchase the battery packs & charger seperately if you don't already have them....the electronics on mine quit working the first time i ran it.

I got my RS10 for $140.00 shipped to my door..complete with battery pack & charger.
Been bashing it for over 7 months with no breakage or problems.

You pay extra for the quality. Even if it were twice the cost of a RTR redcat, it'd be worth it to me. Tamiya makes some of the best quality RCs out there.

You should check out some of the videos on youtube of cc/xc01's crawling. It's surprising how well it crawls for a scale vehicle with front independent suspension.

While it's not the most extreme course, it looks pretty fun.

Myself, I'm building a tlt-1 axled scaler.

I have a TLT-1 Max Climber stock with no mods. I could always modify it. I am tempted to do the scale crawler with the Tamiya I put the link to.

It's a hard decision for me. I am not going to do any xtreme crawling. Just some bashing around gardens etc...

I've driven one before. It won't outcrawl an ax-10, but for a scale truck, it's hard to beat. For better offroad traction, it comes with a removable locker for the rear diff.

Bottom of chassis(not mine)

I didn't compare redcat to tamiya anywhere in my post!
I was speaking of personal experience with the Duratrax Cliff Climber & Redcat RS10.
I agree,Tamiya makes some of the best RCs on the market.

In the picture where is the removable locker?

I think I am going to get the Tamiya and do a scale crawler.
