exceed 1/8 mad torque is running in front wheeldrive only ?
 

i just recieved my rock crawler and after charging it with the wall charger , it will only run in front wheel drive . i do not know anything about electric vehicles . how can i trouble shoot this and fix it ? i have a txt 1 and both front and rear spin when turned upside down .the rock crawler does not . the crawler has 550 brushed motors in it . Thank You....george

u can check the moter by hooking it to the leads of the ones that u know works if its the moter replace it if its the speed controlit coud be a bad soder joint or a burnt out esc at wors case change the esc.

hey gohst i disconneced the lead wires to the front motor and tried to run it and the rear motor spins but does not move the tires. :eek:

gonna have to crack open the rear axle, see if something is broke. maybe as simple as a loose pinion set screw

try turning 1 rear tires while holding the other. if you can, then the axle will need to be opened up as the diff locking part is missing or broken. both wheel should turn together as the diff is locked.

if they do both turn together, then i would open up the motor cover. see if the pinion is meshed with the spur, or if the pinion is loose on the motor's shaft.

if the moter runs it coud be a missing gear or bad gear mesh at least it want be expensive like a moter or esc.</p>

also check the set screw holding the gear to the moter.

well i got hold of tech support and they took it back and are sending another one out.;);) i will keep you updated on how it does .;)

i finly got mine on friday this thang is huge its hard turn tight and it needs some weight in the wheals other than that its cool.
