TLT Question
I think I read this was a comon problem in some tread somewhere so sorry if It's a repeat but I couldn't find it...
Is there a way to limit or stop the Leaning of the truck to one side on throttle? It leans really hardto the back right since I got it. with and without locked diffs. What causes that??? Thanks, G. |
RE: TLT Question
The trucks high center of gravity and soft shocks cause it to lean left or right during cornering, you can either slow down or put some extra spacers in the shocks to stiffin it up, this truck was meant to be a rock crawler not a racer so it will never really handle that good at high speeds.

RE: TLT Question
Oh yeah, that I know... In fact, it only goes about 5 MPH now. :) i have a 55 turn Itegy motor in it...
My issue is that on any sort of power it pulls back to the pasanger side... Even at low speed... I was looking for any ideas as to why it goes to one side or another and not down on both sides.... |
RE: TLT Question
It pulls to one side because of the rotational torque of the motor, since the truck has differentials it only pulls to 1 side, if you had the diff's locked it would sink on both sides under acceleration

RE: TLT Question
Hi Addicted... Actually, they are all locked up and it still does it... :( Any other sugestions? Thanks, G.

RE: TLT Question
Oh I see, well the only thing I could suggest is stiffer shocks, I don't know if that would help but its all I can think of, mine pulls to one side as well but i think it looks kinda cool.

RE: TLT Question
What is most common way that people lock the rear diff?
Also what is the way to do it that is reversable so if I do not like it, it is easy to change it back. Cheers. |
RE: TLT Question
Hey Study, I found hot glue to work great! it is reversable too. I actualy screwed up my first one and just poped out the glue and started over... :) No resedue or anything. It's hard enough to lock it up and easy to remove an most people have Hot Glue guns I would think. Plus if you don't yo can get a kit for $10 tops... :) G.

RE: TLT Question
Cool -
In the beginning I am going to run it stock. But later will want to lock the rear diff only. Thanks. |
RE: TLT Question
think the tlt is bad about that take a look at a txt under full acceleration it almost bottoms out the rr shock
|
RE: TLT Question
Yeah... Makes it a little tough for bashing and stuff but doesn't effect it much for climping... :) Thanks... G.
