What motor?
 

Hey everyone, been a while since i been on this forum but i got a quick question.
I just got back into r/c and I wanna try crawlin'. It looks sooo awesome and since I offroad in my Jeep, it makes me more addicted :)

My question is, I soon will be purchasing a TLT-1, and I want to know what is the best motor for it under say $50.00. Since I dont want to use the stock Tamiya 540, I want some better for climbing and crawling. Any 540's out there that best fit the tlt-1?

Believe it or not ... the stock tamiya 540 motor is the motor that best suit for general crawling. It has 27T that can give out both torque and the rpm when you need it.

Aye I gotta ? about the lath motor.. I ordered one and in the pic it is red on the top and the one I got is all black but still says 55 T single. Do they have diff models of this motor or did they just change color?? Just bored and curious , thanks :)

I think one version is discontinued now, and they are going with a lathe motor with adjustable timing...

GraTou - I read a lot of forums on rccrawler.com and the people all seem to be using the 55t integy lathe motor.. tons of torque and slow speed.. but great run times...

Ahh ok , just wanted to make sure I got the right one. Theirs all sortsa little boxes ( think it says cuts under em) and theirs a blank spot that reads "notes" , Didnt notice anything when I ordered it but I guess you can custom order em. Either way Its still a 55 T single. Thanks :)
