think most use NiHM for safety reason's. Lipo's have a fiery side if not used properly

If you want Lipo's there fine. Lipo's have changed alot over the years. They are alot safer and not as picky as they used to be. But NiMH's are good for weight placement. 90% of the time I can find a place to move the battery for better proformance. Under the knuckles, under axle braces, on the front axles. Spead out over the rig for balance. you get the point.

I use a 4200 SMC stick pack and get over 1 hour of run time with a 55t motor.

RE: What batteries??

I have been using Tenergy 3800 NiMH from cheapbatterypacks.com. I used to get 50 minutes runtimes with my Orion pro sv2 19t. I havent used it in a crawler yet except a my stock 1:18 nylint and I used for about an 1hr30min straight on m indoor crawl and it started to go dead. so I like these batteries alot. I paid 40 dollars for four 6 cell packs7.2v I bought 3500's but they upgraded me for free:D

you only paid 40 bucks for four batteries?
If so, that was a deal.

RE: What batteries??

yup forty bucks with shipping included..not bad cause its heavy item, so shipping mustve been up there.

theyve gotten some bad reviews but I dont know about that. I am happy with mine although I havent done any actual tests on them I have never noticed problems others have described like servo acting up when only 30 foot out. I have driven mine to where I could barely see it.

RE: What batteries??

I prefer 8 cell, 2/3 A, 1200 IBs or 1500 Elite cells.

They can burst upwards of 50 amps and are small enough to get creative w/ their placement.

I get around 45 minutes of run time w/ duel 65t Axioms and duel servos!
