need advice on 1/8th crawler.

well been into crawling before and took a break from it, now i want to do it again.
now i have my old mgt laying around that has no power plant so i want to turn it into a rock crawler.
I was wanting to do a 4 link setup with clod axles and realized they may not be big enough.
My question is what solid axle set might be a good setup on a 1/8th chassis, or a mt chassis.

Just so if anyone is interested this is what im going to do.
Sell the tranny
sell the suspension arms
Sell the shocks
sell the shock towers
then buy solid axles
buy some links.
And maybe go with some kershaw designs 900 motors. (if they will fit.)
and probably some baja 5b rear shocks for the shocks.

RE: need advice on 1/8th crawler.

the axle axles are decent plus have alot of aftermarket support to help bombproof them.
the wk axles are a Tad wider but not as much aftermarket for them, but they do have diffs and can be locked (one or the other, not lockout capible).

my ? is do you have the place to RUN a 1/8th? here in MI we just dont have the terraing for them. thusly they get really boring really quick as theres not much challange crawling over a more flat terrain. so most of us run 2.2s in scaler form or 1.9 scalers in my area. we dont comp, but get together on sundays for Fun RUns and a few beers and bull****ting with the boys.

Although i wasnt 100% i wanted to do this.
