Servo Help

I have a servo on my AX-10 RTR....I just got the thing and ran it for the first time today....The servo makes a craclking/buzzing sound and the tires twitch back and forth.....I tried adjusting the trim....Any ideas of what it may be ??

RE: Servo Help

Could be servo voltage. 6 volt will cause those symtoms. leaveing the wall charger on next to the radio and reciever on will do that too. Last check the servo gears to see if their damaged.

The charger is in a different room and wasn't plugged in....It does it as soon as I turn the radio on..?? It is new like I said....Maybe I will contact Axial about it.....Thank you.

RE: Servo Help

Sounds to me like a radio glitching issue.

RE: Servo Help

Is there anything I can do about it ??

DZ....This happens while I have the truck up on blocks....It runs fine.....The optional 14t pinion gear makes the truck still too fast to be a crawler....What is the best way to slow it down more to a true crawler speed ??
It has alot of punch.....But too much speed.

RE: Servo Help

I would start with A higher turn motor. I would get a 55t.

RE: Servo Help

Would the Axial 55T Electric Motor work good ???? And if I just switch the motor out will it sync up with the ESC ok ?? Thank you.

It sounds like you're getting radio glitching to me too. I would take the truck outside and see if it still does it. Inside of a house their are a lot of items that can cause interference with your RC. I bet as soon as you step outside and walk 5' away from the house the glitching stops.;)

Thank you....I talked to Axial tech support, they said there were a big batch of older servos with plastic gears that they had problems with....I sent them a copy of my Tower invoice and they are sending me a new servo no questions asked and no charge....My first experience with Axial....They seem to really be great.

That's awesome! It's always great when a company has real top of the line customer service. That is frequently what keeps me brand loyal; I hate dealing with companies who act like you're annoying, a pain, and a waste of their time.

RE: Servo Help

Same here.....It really helps when a company stands behind thier product and will replace it if there is a problem.....That is the people that create return customers.....I am glad I just bought an AX-10 ARTR...!!

Yep great company. Remeber occaisional glitching is normal espicaly with an AM TX and RX but if it happens all the time then there is a problem.
