Longer keel for 3x1?
I bought a 3x1 stockmaritime 3 months ago. Sometimes I think, a longer keel would increase the speed. The guys in Hamburg are writing on their website, that a longer keel will increase the tendency for nose dives. Is someone here who has made some experiences?
The boat is heeling a lot, here´s a video made by the guys from Hamburg,

It is a safe bet that the designers of your boat got it right. Unless you have access to some very good manufacturing facilities, a longer fin will introduce more drag and detract from the performance. It might also mean launching and retrieving in deeper water.
