My understanding was a fresh shipment of boats and parts was to arrive in the US in September. But looking at various online sources, it appears that shipment never made it. Kyosho America shows no stock but does offer a waiting list. You could always get on that and see what happens. Kyosho America

I have an original plastic version of the SW that dates back to the first or second year they were out. Needs a total refit but that project will have to take it's place in a very long line of projects. For some reason in retirement I get less accomplished on my hobbies than when I was working full time.

These boats are available from many sources. Check the internet. Price should be about $350

Years ago after an awesome day at the pond, I had pulled my plastic hull sea wind out of the water and we folded up the easy up. A gust of wind knocked it right down on to the mast not only crushing the mast. But cracking my hull and keel. After hours of repair I was left waiting for a new mast and keel to hit US shores for the better part of a year. I ended up painting the lower hull and sides black but left the top white which has now taken on a yellowed hue. I wanted to replace the hull with the fiberglass version but I’ve read they are very fragile and prone to cracking Is this still the case?

There is no fiberglass, only ABS and Carbon fiber.

If Kyosho market them as a set of spares, that is what you live with. Either that or take measurements from the old rudder and make yourself a new one. I had the same problem with a Victoria and found on closer inspection that I did, in fact, need the pair.
