RE: What is your next boat?
I've got a "vintage" Marblehead (circa late 70's early 80's) still sailing with its original Futaba M series radio and sail winch.
I also have a newish Seawind which I much enjoy. I also have a 575 ready to build.
At the moment I've been distracted by building a IC powered sports boat, and a new monster truck. However; future boat projects include a planked 1M from plans. Although the following has taken my interest!! www.aquataurmodels.com I highly recommend checking this site out.

RE: What is your next boat?
I received the V-50, it came in three excellent packages (Hull, Sail Tube, Keel), I was very lucky because the sail tube was open and only lost one screw. The workmanship is excellent and the hull is a beautiful shinny red with everything installed (Radio, Servos, etc).
With the fever in high I went the next day to a local pond which I was delighted to see the sailboat responded great and after like a 1/2 hr. check the inside and found no even a drop of water. I need to start working in setting the sails, and maybe replace the sail Servo which to my taste it requires more torque.
Up to to now I'm extremely happy with the V50
Happy Sailing

Congrats, RC. That is a pretty, pretty boat! If you have any weed problems in that spot your sailing at, the Victor keel should be just the thing to avoid them. I'm feeling jealous.[]

Both are pretty boats, Ice. The Seawind class is growing pretty fast and is building an international following. A very well made kit. How much is your Portugal boat?

Hi Pecos45,
The sailboats are hand made and the price ranges from 600 to 1500 euros...
In a few days, I will go check the PortWinds....
Best Regards,
ICE

RE: What is your next boat?
I'm getting close to finishing a 36/600 Pea Pod. Started building a PipSqueak footy tonight(just got the hull yesterday).
I used to sail a VMP Mini Soling, it was great fun. I found out that after 20+ years of abuse in my garage, ASB and epoxy don't last forever. It died! The Futaba radio still works along with the Airtronic sail winch, which they no longer make.
Next I'll sit down with my Grandson (12yo) and "help" him build a Bob About footy. It'll be his first model.

The 1500 euros models are for competition only.... I think that they aren't on the website... but the Regatta Sport is 600 euros... that I know for sure...
I have to think very well about my next sailboat...
But the Seawind is winning....
Best
ICE
PS: I think that the expensive ones are like this

Ice, that's a good looking boat the fellow has, but the reason he's out wandering in the weeds, I'm sure, is because he got tangled in them. That long keel won't take the weeds and grass. But this is true for any similar boat. Still a beautiful machine.

RE: What is your next boat?
I currently own two SeaWinds (one I race myself and the other is loaned out to people in the club needing a boat) a Victoria (which will technically be the next boat I build) and a CR-914. All of these classes are strong, and what Pecos said about the SW class growing is true... we're now up to over 90 boats registered in the US with the class in just two years of being recognized by the AMYA.
If money was no object, I'd be interested in an Infinity 54... anyone know much about them? They sort of look like a great big Seawind--which I love.

RE: What is your next boat?
Doing a google on "Saphir" brought me here. Much to my surprise I was already registered - must have been some time back. Well, anyway, my first sail boat's almost ready to get wet. It's a Saphir and has got that far thanks to Jan and some of his friends from the Netherlands.
The main problem is now transporting the boat and I've had to make the mast two piece to make a reasonable sized package.

RE: What is your next boat?
Since last year I have added to my collection of boats. An ODOM, IOM(tinto), Catamaran (PVC pipes), American 3, an unidentified 1 meter, and a rowboat shelf turned into a sailboat. Notice that the Soling 1 meter still is not in the collection. The Pram I was building last year is still on the bench along with two other project boats.
Here are a couple of pictures of the rowboat shelf/sailboat that was a fun little project.
A friend said about big boats that you don't pick them they pick you. Maybe that applies to our boats too.

The next boat will probably be a Soling 1 meter.
I have an Ocean 500, 3 Fairwinds, a Windancer, IOM, Victoria, 2 Footy's, Soling 50, Seawind SE and now a Cox Tradewind. That makes an even dozen.
I'm thinking a Soling 1 meter would be fun to build, a US1 meter, and a ODOM are also on my wish list. I have a Pram with the parts cut out that could take a bit to build.

RE: What is your next boat?
Hi Grant, My name is Brett I live in Sydney.
I have a yacht hull that I am trying to sell. It is a replica of Australia 1 in fibreglass.
It is a collectors hull made by professionals.
It is 48" long and has a 9 1/2" beam.
I was told this hull was made to use as a mockup.
I want $60AU for it. See pics.
Regards Brettos.

RE: What is your next boat?
I picked up another k-32 and a tahoe off of ebay this week. Hopfully those projects will see me through the rest of the winter.

RE: What is your next boat?
Hi,
I also started with an Ocean 500 from Kyosho. You might want to consider taking out the standard servos and putting in something lighter in the boat. I put in two Cirrus CS-26bb's and it made a big difference. You could go with Hitec hs81's too.
I put on a carbon fiber mast and changed the sails out also, I kept the booms.
