rc setups

I would love to see how you guys are connecting the rudder servo to the rudder post. And also if you are running limit switches (of some sort) on the rudder servo.

pictures.. please?

Hi,

Here is my very simple set-up in my TT Voyager.

The rod has the curve in it to make adjustments with a pair of pliers, crude, but effective.
The linkage at the ruddershaft is similar to the one on the servo arm, just an angled off piece of rod.

Why would you use switches to limit the rudder throw?
If you want more, go for the next hole out on the servo (or the next one in on the rudder arm) and vice versa.

My ratio is about 2:1, giving me about 30 degrees of rudder throw to each side and my boat is highly maneuverable with that.
More would act like a brake.

Regards, Jan.
