Yes, I used the DuBro, but modified the hub to get the correct profile. Also the
tire are too fat for scale, I may try to come up with something else for this one..............
You could pick up a set of the BUSA guns and work on them in your spare time.

Nice postings so far. Its great to read a long post that has no *****ing or fighting about what is FACT or not. I was looking into the wheel size ( did you pick the correct ones yet? ) of the Balsa USA DVII. I thought the wheels were too small. But I guess that since the plane is not perfect scale, I'm going to get on with it and not worry about the wheels. About the color of a DRI. I know of only 40 or so DRI's that had pictures of them, and they are all in black and white. So that leaves about 280 or so that nobody knows WHAT they look like. Just tell people that its one nobody ever took a picture of and let them try to prove you wrong.
. And there are lots of stock Balsa usa triplanes at my field, and they are all welcome and nobody makes fun of them. Look at my photos here at RCU and see 4 or 5 of them all lined up together. Again, this is a great post, nice conversations and good information. Fill the sky with fokkers!

i bought the Williams bros 6.625" wheels and the Dubro 7" wheels for the BUSA DR1.
it's a subject of much discussion and as you see in this thread, much info has been posted. i'm going to use the Dubro's as they are pretty close and look about right, but i think becuase the undercarriage on the BUSA is not correct by a mile, they make things look right if that makes any sense.
the group here on RCU Scale are the best of the best in my book. always seem to be well mannered and willing to help.
from the photos of the DVII that i have downloaded and looked at, the 7" Dubros look right.
