Siemens-Schuckert D.III 1/3 Scale
#826
Hello Mike, yes I have about 7 left. These are 1/3 scale. The cowls should have been here today, however I think all the snow has prevented that....I expect they will be here tomorrow and the spinners are about two weeks out. I can ship them separately or wait and do them together, your choice.
Thank you.

I'll take a cowling & spinner. Wait until you have both , then ship them.

You should be very happy with this plane. I flew mine in Pro-Am Sportsman at Top Gun last year. It didn't place but it finished 11th in a field of 42 entries. Not too bad for a WW1 plane amongst all the jets and WW2 planes!

I just purchased a 1/4 scale kit for the SSW D.III. Been spending a lot of time researching the plane and noticed that there is no mention of installing the air scoops in the spinner in any of the threads I've read. Has anyone tried to put the scoops in or is there a source that is capable of this installation?

I don't know of anyone who tried to put the scoops on the spinner. would be tough to do and you will need to make sure the spinner is balanced when done. I would think laying the spinner up out of fiber glass with the scoops built in would be the best way to go about it. I wouldn't worry about it -you don't need them for function and looks good without them.
