Default HALF SCALE DH 2

Coming January 2011....... We will be starting on the MONSTER DH 2!![X(]

I have gathered all the electronics, batteries, wiring, engine, custom gun that will make that cool sound...pop pop pop!
This may not go as fast of a build as the D6 but I think it wil be finished by the Dayton show.
On Jan 1 I will post all the mechanics of this monster. I still have a lot to gather for the airframe but we have to start somewhere!
It should be a really good year for ODP.....OOOOHHH I got a new 28 foot trailer that will be able to haul both 1/2 scales for 2011

Merry Christmas to you and Michelle and may you and yours have a safe and prosperous new year.

Cheers,
Art & Rhonda

Oberst,
I'm not allowed to build anything in her house....I build everything in my 40 foot by 40 foot garage/workshop

Martin,
I'm sure I will like what I see, your a very talented machinist. I can't wait to see it!
For those of you who don't know "Martin the machinist"......you will by the end of this build!

King Arthur,
Thanks again for having a great Christmas party! Thanks for the kind words and you do the same.
I don't know who is going to be more excited about you starting your half scale, you or me!

PS I'm going to finish covering the DR1 this week and maybe squeeze in the Albi .........Then full attention to DH2

Merry Christmas to all the "Dawn Patrollers" out there and a Happy New Year!!!!

What and where did you get your factory drawings for the DH2, if at all? The only precise drawings that I know of are the 3-views, from Arizona Models.

Yikes! I'm just starting to get into 1/3 scale, and now everybody's going 1/2 scale!

The DH-2 should be extremely cool.

Don't worry, soon enough it'll be 3/4 scale! I say, if you want bigger models, model bigger airplanes! Like a 1/3 scale FE2b!

I had Allen Morgan's 1/4 plans enlarged up to 1/2 scale. They are good enough for what I'm doing

It's the old pessimist/optimist thing all over again. Is the workshop half empty or half full?

Now why did you have to post something like that. I just joined the 1/2 scale crowd and you are undoubtedly going to up the ante with a link to 3/4 scale. Uhhh, I'm always behind.

We are going to keep this project on the down low BUT we will throw out teasers every once and a while Our plan/goal is to have it at Dayton 2014!!!

IS it a FlyBaby? If you really want it to resemble the Junkers CL.I, please do some research on the colors & markings and not copy the mistakes of other Flybaby owners (the CL.I never had any lozenge on the wings, for one thing)
(If you need help on that, just ask)
