Looking good so far WhiteRook!! Never seen a finished Bates Tempest, so I'm eager to see how this one turns out.
Is it correct that it's a built up cowl for the Bates Mk. V version?

christer , it does have a built cowl , and the laser cut pieces for it . Its Designed for a big glow originally , ST3000, Which
will fit in the cowl nicely , buts its 43 ounces and i dont think it will balance out the plane.
jerry updated THE PLANS to show a G45 ZENOAH , BUT the width of it will be a problem. i mAY GO With a st4500
ive been trying to post more pictures , but they wont post, having technical issues.
, IVE got the stab slotted for the hinges and all framed up and sheeted , needs sanding and glass.
