I like the way it's sticking half in and half out of the 'hangar' that is too small to house it.

Looks like it was made in a high school shop class.

Isn't the paint wonderful???? I think they have it backwards- it's butyrate over nitrate, not the other way around like the finish appears on theirs!

Expensive lawn ornament. There are a lot of Ultralights and Homebuilts on the market that aren't flight worthy and would make a nicer lawn ornament for half that price. But you're right- anyone who has a little knowledge of the DR1 knows enough that it is terrible. But then you get those who know little about the plane that would buy it because they think it's cool.


The only reason why I would buy it is to have my 3 year old son play on it, or have him play the Red Baron in parades. Other than that it's just looks like expensive firewood to me.

Don't be. If the claims in the text are true, he's sold over $2,000,000 bucks worth of these! It's hard to believe that with the $21,000 a piece price tag (not including paint or markings..which are apparently considered "extras") the profit could be small, as claimed in the text.

Too bad it's not even child-safe.

I think his sentance for this crime against good taste, authenticity....(the list goes on and on), should be to have an engine attached to this hardware store monstrosity, and he be made to try and fly it.

Zoom Zoom, I saw that pic of your plane somewhere else, and having a sense of humor I liked it, the teeth absolutely made me crack up. I personally believe that any German DR1 that the owner painted eyebrows on..would have added the teeth if they had thought of it.
