Ihave 4 esm models and they all needed some work to get them right. its why i order them with no paint now. In any event i am looking forward to getting her in the air but it will be a little way off yet as i need to sort out the P39, a Hurricane (not esm) as well as a load of other repairs and things to finish off. I have decided to bin the kit flaps and make new ones with more details on them. its not alot of work and it will improve the model in my opinion.
One thing i do need to know is how to join the flaps as my kit didnt come with the joining wires. are the bendy or rigid?

ok thanks for that. I also went for a 5 inch spinner on mine and I am sure that 5 inch is the scale size. I will need to make a baffle plate to cool the engine but that's no problem. all I have to do now is clear out all the projects in front of it!

I will be using a 2 blade prop as they give better efficiency and are easier to get. also the real sea fury used 5 blades so 3 would not help any from a scale point of view

Hi !
The model is not tailheavy. The incidence of the wing and tailplane is not correct from factory so I had to correct with downtrim for the elevator to compensate.
The flaps settings/ angel mensioned in the manual is perfect for smooth landings.
Is it any progress for your model ?

My model is very firmly on the back burner at the moment. I have at least 3 models for maintenance/repair and at least 2 to finish building before I get to the Sea Fury.

Its been a long time coming but my Sea Fury is now moving at a pace. The tail is sorted as is the cockpit and pilot. I have the retracting tailwheel in place, the wing fairing has been adjusted so the wing actually fits and the wing is pretty much complete. I just need to add the second flap servo and route all the cables. Then I need to hook up the inner undercarriage doors and get to painting. I also need to get on a build the engine as it wont get far without that!! I will post some photos soon.

oops....sorry guys, I forgot all about pictures and updates and....im sorry anyway, my model is finally finished 
It has ended up at 23lbs and is powered by a laser 360v twin. I am very much looking forward to getting her in the air. I was surprised to be so much lighter than everyone elses but I am not complaining

well...it flew! but..its broken
sadly my landing was not perfect, but of greater issue was that the little Chinese man who built it didn't put any glue on the gear mounts. Its an easy fix but still somewhat irritating. Anyway, while not great quality here are some pics
