Hi Guys,
I am in need of a 1/3 scale full body pilot for my 1/3 Cub. I have an Officer and a Gentleman in my 1/3 Waco and they are no longer available. I tried to find one at Toledo with no luck as well.
I know I can order a pilot from Europe but I don't want to spend $100+ for a pilot. Does anyone know of a source for 1/3 full body pilot in the states or have an extra one laying around they want to sell?

You might try looking in the toy section for a figure. You may need to add some clothes suitable for flying.

Glenn Torrence has some 1/3 people but..not cheap.

I talked with the owner of HP pilots last week. Their full body pilols are out of stock. The supplier who molded the pilots for them was an elderly gentleman and they have not heard from him in almost a year.

I also hit up Roy Valliancort at Toledo and he told me the same story. I bought my pilot for my 1/3 Waco from Roy at Toledo a few years ago.

I may just find a brown teddy bear the right size and put a yellow Piper Cub T-Shirt on him.

You would think with the popularity of giant scale planes growing someone would be producing pilots for these planes.

On eBay you can search for WWI or WWII Action figures, GI Joe's but I believe they are actually more of a 1/4 scale size rather than a 1/3 scale.

That almost makes me think of a puppet. Is there a place on the web where one can buy a puppet that's about 2-feet tall???
