I posted this in the "Twins" section and got some good info, but not a large amount, so I will try here. Looking for info on plans or a kit of a nice Baron, Twin Commanche, Aztec, Apache, or similar that would be in the range of 80-90" span. Anyone have any ideas, or info. The only one I have seen that fits is the RCM plans for a Piper Seneca II. I have not seen the plans yet, but it seems interesting.
Thanks,

Terry,
The info you got from the twins section is about all there is. The civilian airplanes do not make interesting models apparently. There are more twin military models in kit or plan than civilian.
You will have to draw your own plans if you want anything other than what you saw in the twins forum.

Besides the twin Seneca in the June 1980 RCM there was a Wing Derringer (87") in the Jan 1980 RCM; Grumnan Cougar (76") in the Aug 1980 RCM; and a Piper Navajo in SCRM 4/76. They (SCRC) also published a 85"Beech Baron by Bud Caddell.
There may be more, but these come to mind.

Those Baron plans are a must have.
Any leads on ordering them? I can't find a current reference for SCRC, as the previous publisher seems to have discontinued the mag.

Hi Terry,
The Piper Seneca plans are great, I saw them . The seneca would be a great option.
Also, you might want to consider the Britten Norman Islander BN2.or the DH Twin Otter.. Another great choice for civilian would be the Dornier DO 28 which you could look up in hte web search.

Man, I just scored a killer deal on a Stafford Twin Comanche, all framed with retracts and interior kit on e-bay. Not as big as I wanted but it will do for now. I have a matched set of .40's looking for a home. Looks like good construction from the pics.
It's Item # 3144512591 if anybody wants to see it.

Terry,
If you're still looking for the Cadell-Hollock B58 Baron plans, I have a set I could have copied for you. I've tried to find the company for the past several years to get hold of their Beech Skipper plans, but to no avail. Therefore, I'm prepared to be that nobody has any problems with copyright. Let me know if you need them and I can check with the local Kinkos etc.
Cheers,
Greg

The Piper Navajo was built by a guy named Jerry Bugni. The plans were carried by Harold Osborne. Someone may still have Osborne's plans for sale.
The model itself seemed to have twice as many formers and ribs as a normal kit model.
