Default 26cc Gas column to beam conversion?

I know I'm asking a crazy question here but I thought it might be worth a "shot in the dark". I have a 26cc gas column mount engine and a rc plane with a fixed wood, rail mount very strongly built into the firewall. Has anyone ever heard of a conversion kit or making the conversion from column to rail on the engine?

Thank you

Maybe I'm not understanding this, but you're asking about modifying the engine rather than just cutting off the wooden engine mounting beams???

Correct. In this case it may be my best option. I was thinking about purchasing this plane but only if I could use my column mount engine. I think I should probably give up that idea.

It seems to me that the easier (and best) option would be to cut the wooden beams off flush with the firewall, fill the hole in the firewall, and then start "fresh" with the normal installation of the gas engine. This shouldn't be too difficult.
