We will have a special treat from BUSA this year. I recently got off the phone with Mark and he is sending "Chad" again ....AND
Chad's new WIFE!...... Holy crap! They are getting married on the 4th July weekend and having there honeymoon at Warbirds over Delaware!
......AND THEN ......having the "honeymoon after party" at ODP! We are going to have a great time with these two! LOL!

Dear Kernal Clink,
You will always have a open invitation to the ODP....1/2 1/3 1/4 1/5 1/6 scale WWI plane..whatever you have... bring it!
And if something happens to your fleet from now to then.....I would be honored if you come down and flew my planes! (I always
wanted to see what it felt like to be Blakeman for a day! LOL)

Now you ask for the pics! I have the plane torn down so that I can put in the radio stuff, plumbing for the fuel tank, battery, etc. Since the hatches are in the bottom, all this stuff goes in better when the fuse is upside down on the bench! .....and that's not so good for the wings.

Paul, you just gotta trust me on this one!

Hey, maybe I can re-maiden it at the big 4th of July bash at your field?! Rhonda is always looking for another camping weekend.

That sounds like a plan.....Barry is going to re- maiden his Albi and I am going for the 1/2 scale recert on the 4th and HOPEFULLY get the rear stab done on the 1/3 D7 to also fly it!

Hey guys,
I'll bring my 1/4 scale DH2 plus whatever else I can fit in the mini van. I need to get a trailer... After 11 years, I've finally outgrown the capacity of my Odyssey. The DH2 is very bulky even with the wing panels removed. Need to experiment with van packing this weekend. The challenge is to still get the 1/3 scale Pup in the van with the DH2 without one crushing the other. Looking forward to seeing everyone again this year.
Greg

It is amazing how quickly our third scale stuff has shrunk. When I drag my tripe out to the field it almost looks big enough to be quarter scale.......a lot of guys have thought that this past year and seem surprised when I tell them it is 1/3 scale.

Not to worry though - I have been doing a lot of advertizing for you guys.

You should think about bringing your new Junkers and leaving it with me........I can do a flying advertising campaign for BUSA this whole season and then next year I can return it to the company ..... trade it in for your latest and newest and then advertise that one for you the following year. Wow! What a concept!

Cheers,
Art

I know the Junkers D.I very well. I constructed a full size rendering in Solidworks, and built a 1/8 scale model a few years ago using the CAD model. I displayed it at Toledo in 2010. So, I think I'll be at Harrison to check it out.

Hey Jan, make sure you look me up and introduce yourself - its always nice to put a face with a forum name. And if we have already met and I just didn't connect all the dots, well give me a good kick in the seat of my pants! That way I will definitely remember the next time.

I'll be the one flying a 1/3 Balsa USA DR1 done up in Cole Palen's Rhinebeck color scheme (the one with the red top wing and tail and the face on the cowl) and hopefully my original design 1/3 scale Nieuport 11, done up in Belgium colors.

Yeah, okay Art, it will be my pleasure to meet you there. Lee McDuffee knows me pretty well.
I might bring my Junkers for display.

Two weeks left??!! How did that come up so fast?

Would Tmoth4 consider doing a demo Wednesday on frame-up, covering, radio, and engine installation?
Jim, does 5am work for you?

Here's what is completed so far:
